Mode of the course
The summer course will be organized in hybrid mode:
- Participants from Indonesia will attend the course in-person in Universitas Udayana’s campus.
- Overseas participants may attend the course either in-person or online in synchronous mode.
The summer course will be followed by ISMOA 2025. Participants are encouraged to join ISMOA after the Summer Course. Note: the venue of the SCoMOA is different than the venue of ISMOA. They are 17 km apart.
Time Zone of Schedule
The course will be delivered in English and the time schedule will follow Central Indonesian Time Zone (WITA) or UTC+8.
Obligation of the participants
The participants have to attend the whole course program completely including lectures, homeworks, groupworks, Lab. Sessions, and pass the evaluation session (in form of homeworks, Lab. sessions report, quiz and collaborative paper writing) in order get attendance certificate. An LMS (Learning Management System) will be used for distribution of course materials, assignments, and evaluation which can be accessed using password provided by the organizer to accepted participants. Please prepare your laptop for these activities.
What will the participant get after finishing the summer course
Course syllabus and learning outcomes will be available as attachment to the certificate for participants who attend the program completely and pass the evaluation.
Credit Earning Possibility
The participants are encouraged to discuss with the academic authority of their home institution for possibility of credit earning. The course load will be 16 x 100 minutes and fit to Indonesian 2 credit units ( 2 sks) study load. The organizer is willing to sign agreement with the home institution of participants, if such formalities are needed.
For students who need official credit earning from organizing university, please contact the organizer (e-mail: scomoa.indonesianoptics@gmail.com). Link for registration of credit earning will be announced later. Participation in the credit earning option is free of charge. Upon passing the program, participants who registered for the credit earning option will get an official Grade Report Letter (Kartu Hasil Studi) from the offering university which is registered in the Indonesian government academic information system.
